School Description

Ysgol Gynradd Glantwymyn is situated about six miles from Machynlleth, in Powys local authority. There are 70 full-time pupils on roll, between three and 11 years of age. The school has been part of a federation of three schools since September 2014. All pupils are white British, and Welsh is the first language for many of them. No pupils are eligible for free school meals, which is much lower than the national and local averages. The school has indicated that about 10% of pupils have additional learning needs. This is below the national average. No pupils have a statement of special educational needs. The school’s last inspection was in December 2008. The current headteacher has been in post, in charge of the schools in the federation, since September 2014. The individual school budget for Ysgol Gynradd Glantwymyn in 2014-2015 means that the budget is £3,724 per pupil.
