“One happy child!”

My daughter was at the local primary school and her passion for learning was disappearing and she was starting to misbehave. Moving her into Hopelands has been the best decision I have made as she has flourished and is reaching her full potential. She literarily skips into school and her whole attitude to life has changed. It's not just the academic side (which is set at just the right level) but the ethos and culture of the school. I was always of the viewpoint that I shouldn't and couldn't afford to put my child into private education but it has been the best investment to my child's future and that is priceless! Would recommend this school to anyone.
“"Best decision we ever made"”

Hopelands is a fantastic school! It has a truly caring culture and brings the best out of the children who attend. Our children have come on leaps and bounds during their time at Hopelands and enjoy going to School – you can’t ask for more than that! Sending our children to Hopelands was the best decision we have ever made for them.
“An amazing school”

I have a daughter at Hopelands – she is in Year 5 and she has made incredible progress academically. She has been prepared for her entrance exams which are in Year 6 in the best possible way. This wonderful school will set my daughter on her way for the rest of her life.
“"A school that sets you up for life"”

I had two girls who went to Hopelands both, completely different, one academic and the other sporty and arty. However, they have one thing in common and that is they will tell you that being a pupil at Hopelands set them up for life and they would not be where they are now without the teaching and support the school gave them whilst they were pupils at the school.
“A great school”

My son started the school in reception this year as we decided against the large class sizes in state school. So far we have been very pleased with the school and the progress my son has made. He loves going to school everyday and has made some great friends. He gets individual time at least 3 times a week to read to a teacher and hence his reading has developed at a fast pace. He covers a good range of subjects including French from the reception year. He has attended a number of school trips which are varied and appropriate. As a working mum the flexible after school care is vital for me. It is great that you can change before and after school care day by day and also have access to a range of clubs.
“A happy, friendly and caring school”

We moved our son to Hopelands in Year 1 and haven't looked back. A small nurturing school where children are valued and feel secure. Excellent teaching by warm and friendly staff who go the extra mile. Our son has not only grown in self confidence but also loves every aspect of school life.
“Gloucestershire's best kept secret”

I was in two minds about writing a review - the school is so great that I didn't want anything to change, including the small class sizes, but the more children who benefit from Hopelands the better for all of us. The research tells us two things most clearly: 1. Quality of teaching is the most important factor in how well children do in school and; 2. The younger the children are the bigger the impact of high quality education The teaching and pastoral care at Hopelands is outstanding and the earlier children start there the more they benefit. Undoubtedly private school is a major investment but Hopelands provides fantastic value for money. Not only does Hopelands succeed academically but it instills strong values in all of its children. My youngest daughter says: "I never want to leave Hopelands" and the eldest says that "the only bad thing about Hopelands is that is doesn't have a secondary school".
“A Wonderful School!”

My daughters absolutely love going to Hopelands School! A frequent comment when I pick them up from school is: "I've had the best day ever!" Both of them are thriving not just academically but also socially and it has been wonderful watching their confidence grow. There is a talented team of teaching and support staff at Hopelands who are dedicated, enthusiastic and genuinely care. The teachers go above and beyond to make learning fun and engaging. There is good communication between the school and parents and they are approachable if you have any concerns. The children at Hopelands are wonderful and a good testament to the school. There is a nurturing community at Hopelands where staff and students show respect, kindness and concern for one another.
“'Great school with affordable fees'”

My Son has been at Hopelands for five years, he is very proud of his school and he is always keen to go in the gates in the morning. This prep school has a strong nurturing environment which strives to get the best from every individual. The school benefited a couple of years ago from buying the building next door, which has provided more classroom space and a lovely grass area for the children play on outside. I would highly recommend Hopelands to families seeking a small caring school, that pushes children to believe in their own abilities.
“"Happy, smiling children with a passion for learning"”

A school where the children's best interests are at the heart of the ethos. I have had nothing but excellent communication from all members of staff. They are honest with regards to my children's achievements and expectations of where they need to aim next. They go above and beyond with extra curricular activities and every child I have seen coming out of school at the end of the day wears a wide smile on their face! If you want your child to have a good start in secondary school - be it grammar, private, or state... this school sets the building blocks very well indeed.
“A good move”

I moved my daughter here 2 years ago and she has blossomed. We are delighted to have made the move.
