Independent preparatory schools do not have to follow the National Curriculum
or submit test results to the Department for Education so there is no individual
school performance data or star rating.
Visit the school's website to learn more about their unique curriculum,
policies on testing and common leaver
destinations (a good indicator of pupil progress).

Choosing A Prep School.
Pupils receive an exceptional education at École Française de Londres Jacques Prévert. They are curious, articulate and proud of their learning. From the early years onwards, children grow in confidence because of the school’s nurturing culture and ambitious curriculum. Staff have high expectations of what every pupil can achieve, and pupils rise to meet them. They work hard in lessons and show great care in the work that they produce. Pupils are safe, happy and feel well looked after. They value the warm relationships that they have with their teachers and know that adults will help them if they have any worries. Behaviour is exemplary. Pupils are thoughtful and courteous in their interactions with others. They show independence and maturity as they move around the school and take part in a wide range of activities. At playtime, pupils enjoy reading together or playing calmly with their friends. The school’s unique character comes from its rich cultural identity. Pupils learn seamlessly in both French and English, switching between languages with ease and enthusiasm. They take pride in their multilingualism and speak knowledgeably about life in both cultures. This international outlook is central to the school’s ethos and is evident in every aspect of school life.
“A little gem in the London market of international independent schools!”
17 May 2018AUTHOR: JP Parent
This is a fabulous school, which was rated as "outstanding" by Ofsted in 2011 and 2018 in all categories.
It's a relatively small school with only 2 classes per year group, and about 20-24 pupils per class, which provides a caring friendly environment, in which children flourish.
It's a French school located in Central / West London, in a lovely residential area (postcode W6 7BE).
It teaches the French curriculum, but a large proportion of pupils there are bi-national, with many different international backgrounds. The school has recently overhauled its English department and the English curriculum, which is taught on top of the French one, is ambitious, with some pupils successfully applying to leading 11+ independent schools when they leave Jacques Prevert.
The school's fees are the most affordable of all independent French schools in London, with c. £2000/term - exceptional value for money for parents interested in an international education for their children.
Finally, the school prides itself in its large choice of extra-curricular activities available, from judo, handball, rugby, football to Zumba, chess, computing, cooking etc.

2015 GCSE RESULTSImportant information for parents
Due to number of reforms to GSCE reporting introduced by the government in 2014, such as the exclusion of iGCSE examination results, the official school performance data may not accurately report a school’s full results. For more information, please see About and refer to the section, ‘Why does a school show 0% on its GSCE data dial? In many affected cases, the Average Point Score will also display LOW SCORE as points for iGCSEs and resits are not included.
Schools can upload their full GCSE results by registering for a School Noticeboard. All school results data will be verified.
