Cyril Jackson Primary School Key Information
Progress Compared With All Other Schools
Progress scores in reading, writing and maths could not be calculated in 2024 due to lack of baseline data during Covid 19. We show historic scores from the 2023 academic year as a guide
Cyril Jackson Primary School is much larger than the average sized primary school and operates on two sites, which are a short distance apart. The proportions of pupils from minority ethnic groups and those who speak English as an additional language are much higher than the national average. The largest ethnic group in the school are of Bangladeshi origin. The proportion of disadvantaged pupils for whom the school receives the pupil premium (additional funding for particular groups, which in this school applies to pupils who are known to be eligible for free school meals and those who are looked after by the local authority) is much higher than the national average. The proportion of disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs is higher than the national average. The school has a Language Resource Provision for up to 20 pupils across the local authority who have speech and language difficulties. Some pupils attend the Nursery full time, others part time, with all pupils becoming full time when they enter the Reception class. The headteacher of Cyril Jackson Primary School is currently also the interim executive headteacher of Ben Jonson Primary School. The school meets the government’s current floor standards, which are the minimum expectations for pupils’ attainment and progress in reading, writing and mathematics.

Cyril Jackson is a excellent school in my opinion as a current parent. Kids love to go to school because the teachers make their day fun and enjoyable while teaching them to learn many different subjects and skills of life. Amazing

2015 GCSE RESULTSImportant information for parents
Due to number of reforms to GSCE reporting introduced by the government in 2014, such as the exclusion of iGCSE examination results, the official school performance data may not accurately report a school’s full results. For more information, please see About and refer to the section, ‘Why does a school show 0% on its GSCE data dial? In many affected cases, the Average Point Score will also display LOW SCORE as points for iGCSEs and resits are not included.
Schools can upload their full GCSE results by registering for a School Noticeboard. All school results data will be verified.
