School Description

At the start of the inspection, the school did not meet the requirements on the publication of information about the equality objectives and up-to-date information about each governor’s business and financial interests, and governance roles held in other schools. The school meets the current government floors standards, which set the minimum expectations for pupils’ attainment and progress in reading, writing and mathematics at the end of Year 6. The school is smaller than the average-sized primary school. Most pupils are from White British backgrounds. The proportion of pupils who speak English as an additional language is very low. The proportion of pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities is below average.

This School Guide heat map has been plotted using official pupil data taken from the last School Census collected by the Department for Education. It is a visualisation of where pupils lived at the time of the last School Census (released annually in July).

Our heat maps use groups of postcodes, not individual postcodes, and have naturally soft edges. All pupils are included in the mapping (i.e. children with siblings already at the school, high priority pupils and selective and/or religious admissions) but we may have removed statistical ‘outliers’ with more remote postcodes that do not reflect majority admissions.

For some schools, the heat map may be a useful indicator of the catchment area but our heat maps are not the same as catchment area maps. Catchment area maps, published by the school or local authority, are based on geographical admissions criteria and show actual cut-off distances and pre-defined catchment areas for a single admission year.

This information is provided as a guide only. The areas from which pupils are admitted to a school can change from year to year to reflect the number of siblings and pupils admitted under high priority admissions criteria.

3 steps to help parents gather catchment information for a school:

  1. Look at our heat maps. They give a useful indicator of the general areas that admit pupils to the school. This visualisation is based on all attending pupils present at the time of the last School Census.
  2. Use the link to the Local Authority Contact (above) to find catchment area information based on a single admission year. This is very important if you are considering applying to a school.
  3. On each school page, use the link to visit the school website and find information on individual school admissions criteria. Geographical criteria are only applied after pupils have been admitted on higher priority criteria such as Looked After Children, SEN, siblings, etc.

See Pupil heat maps FAQs for more information about the source of pupil heat map data.

Chaddesley Corbett Endowed Primary School Reviews

Average Rating:

“A lovely school”
"> I feel that this is a lovely school. I have two children here, both are very happy and are woraking above age-expected levels. The teachers are hard working and helpful. The curriculum is as varied as it can be under the restraints placed upon it by the government - there is lots of outdoor learning and themes/topics to keep the children enthused. Parent involvement and participation is valued and encouraged. Looking forward to the next Ofsted so that the school can claim the recognition that it deserves.
“Not recommended”
"> My child attended this school until last year. In my honest opinion, they are unable to cater for individual needs. There is a great deal of pressure put upon pupils and teachers to achieve. There is very little fun. It is not a decision taken lightly by a parent to remove their child from a school but it is the best decision we ever made.
“Very pleased”
"> This school has improved so much in the last two years. The teachers are good, standards are high and there is plenty of outdoor learning. My kids love it.
"> In my experience of a parent with a child at this school, I would not recommend this school. In my experience, the only thing they are interested in is targets and don't think about the child's individual needs.
