The Explore Learning curriculum is aligned to the National Curriculum as well as the Curriculum for Excellence in Scotland. The Explore tutors are trained to teach using Curriculum approved teaching methods to ensure that the children have consistency with how they learn at school. This means that your child can always take the skills that they have learned at Explore back into the classroom.

All members follow individualised learning programmes in maths, spellings, reading and writing. They work on a variety of activities in each area, with a tutor on hand to ensure that they are being stretched and challenged at a level and pace right for them.

I tutor English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning for grammar and independent schools. I also prepare students for interviews. I teach touch typing. English mock tests are run during the Easter and Summer holidays.
Explore tutors work with children in a very low ratio (the maximum ratio is 1:6), ensuring the right balance between individual support and independent learning. As children practise and acquire new skills throughout the learning session, the tutors are always on hand to encourage, explain or suggest a new approach.
