The well established Barkingside Tutoring Centre We have been open since 1995 and helped thousands of children succeed in their education for 20 years+. It has a reputation in the local area for 'providing excellent tutoring.'
All Barkingside Tutors are experienced teachers in Primary and Secondary Education in England. The tutors have DBS checks, child protection training and are familiar teachers who work successfully with children in schools.
Trained in the Kip McGrath teaching methods, materials and programs and are encouraged by a superb support system provided by the Directors, Kam and Ambika.
The Enfield centre has been open for over 10 years. We are very much a family and community friendly business. We continue to work with children throughout Enfield who come to us for a variety of reasons: from students who lack confidence and are struggling with Maths or English to those who may be working towards a final 11+, SAT or GCSE exam. Many of our students have been with us for over 5 years. They join us sometimes from primary school and then stay on through GCSEs, even choosing to stay with us through A-S levels and A-Levels.
At Kip McGrath in Southgate we teach children using carefully structured worksheets and textbooks. We also use excellent computer based resources which support different learning styles. Our resources have been successful in helping children to tackle problems with reading, writing, spelling and Mathematics for over 25 years.
inkhead offer tutoring in creative writing for 7+ and 11+ exams. Well-qualified (MAs and experienced writers), with bespoke writing prompts and exercises to inspire and encourage children to write original and entertaining stories using literary devices and good English grammar. Established 13 years ago, LSA specialises in one-to-one Spanish tuition lessons for GCSE, AS and A level students. We tutor in centres in Bayswater and Kings Cross, at your home and by Skype.
Our tutors are degree-educated, multi-lingual and DBS checked. They’re personable, engaging and have a 100% exam success rate.
We teach on Mondays to Fridays from 8am to 8pm and Saturdays from 10am – 3pm.

Stephanie Hurst is an experienced tutor, having taught children at Primary School level for more than 30 years in the independent and state sectors. Stephanie offers personal tuition of children aged between 5 and 11 years, and has been doing so for the past twelve years.
Stephanie says, 'My lessons are very child friendly and my greatest concern are the specific needs of each individual. I make sure the lessons are enjoyable and I try very hard to maintain a relaxed environment for each and every pupil. I have prepared pupils for the 7+ and 11+ examinations and have been very successful in getting pupils into the school of their choice.'
