Our heat maps use groups of postcodes, not individual postcodes, and have naturally soft edges. All pupils are included in the mapping (i.e. children with siblings already at the school, high priority pupils and selective and/or religious admissions) but we may have removed statistical ‘outliers’ with more remote postcodes that do not reflect majority admissions.

School Description

The school is a caring community that promotes pupils’ Welshness and personal development successfully. As a result, nearly all pupils are happy to attend. During their time there, most pupils make sound progress and achieve well. Most behave well and work successfully with their peers, and provide each other with support when needed. They concentrate on their tasks for extended periods and make a valuable contribution to lessons and learning experiences. Teachers give appropriate consideration to pupils’ views when planning interesting themes for them, and ensure that the activities that are provided are consistently good across the classes. Tasks meet most pupils’ needs and enable them to make sound progress in their literacy, numeracy, and information and communication technology (ICT) skills. Staff provide effective support and interventions for pupils with additional learning needs, in addition to those with emotional and social needs. The headteacher provides clear leadership for the school’s work and shares her vision successfully with others. The senior management team makes a valuable contribution to this by analysing data and leading specific aspects of the school’s work.
