School Description

The Study School is an established independent co-educational school for children who are rising 3-11 years of age. Our dedicated teaching staff inspire and challenge children to achieve their personal best. Our broad curriculum is supported by an extensive extra-curricular programme. A small pupil/teacher ratio ensures that the talents of every child are recognised, nurtured and celebrated in a caring yet challenging environment. Courtesy and thoughtfulness towards others are emphasised throughout the school and the friendly family atmosphere ensures that each child flourishes and feels secure. As the children move up the school they are encouraged to step out of their comfort zone and to take on new responsibilities. As a result, children from The Study School are frequently recognised for their self-assurance and maturity. Whilst children are sad to leave The Study School at the end of Year Six, they are well-prepared and eager to face the new challenges of senior school life.

“Best School in New Malden....”

Our daughter joined The Study School from nursery and to say she is happy and content is an understatement. The attention that is given to each child’s development is outstanding and what’s more they make learning fun and enjoyable. There is a certain warmth throughout the school towards the children and parents that makes a wonderful family atmosphere.
“Friendly and engaging school”

My child settled well into The Study School, quickly feeling at home in its friendly and nurturing environment. The pupils are respectful and hardworking, and kindness is encouraged. My child enjoys lessons, which are challenging yet engaging, and make use of the specialisms of different teachers.
“5 stars”

Lovely school with a nurturing environment! Sp pleased we chose this school.
“Reception parent”

This is a school with a warm and nurturing environment. There has been a positive change in our son who has moved from another school to the Study School within a short space of time . Attention is given to the overall development of the child, and their individual talents are developed too. The staff are friendly and responsive to the children's needs. The Head teacher is a remarkable lady who is very warm, welcoming and approachable which reflects the general atmosphere within the school.
“An amazing school with a community feel!”

The Study school has a great atmosphere and wonderful energy. We are so happy that we chose The Study. It is very diverse, the teachers are very nurturing and our children have been very happy here. They are getting a wonderful all round education and are both doing very well. As parents we get involved with the school and as it's a small school, the teachers and headmistress really listen to our needs and are very responsive. It's a great school with great staff and happy children. All the children are encouraged to get to know each other and play together. The PTA/school organize events during the term and all the parents are encouraged to get involved. A real community feel!
“A fantastic school for my son”

I cannot praise The Study school enough providing my son with a nurturing, stimulating environment where the values of the school are clear to see in the great staff they recruit and the children lucky enough to come here. I'm so pleased I made the right choice for my son who has benefitted from the smaller classes, not only learning to read and write quickly, but also having manners and respect for others reinforced on a daily basis. A great choice of school if your focus is on ensuring your child learns in a happy stimulating environment and develops to their own individual potential. The headmistress greets every child at the gate each morning and knows everyone by name which is unheard of - a woman with great experience, passion and vision for the school.
“Best Independent School in New Malden”

My child recently left The Study School after attending since Nursery. We loved this school, such a family friendly school. The teachers were so professional, friendly and approachable. Really sad to leave but our child really has got a great start with help from this school.

ACADEMIC SUCCESS

We are unashamedly proud of our strong focus on academic learning and the exceptional results we achieve. Our children do so well because of our close attention to every aspect of their learning, and because we are both rigorous and encouraging.

So while your child will make rapid progress from the day they join us, and we will give them all the preparation they need for entrance to secondary schools, our education is rich, lively and challenging in a far wider sense.

From the Nursery to Year 6 you can see the energy, enthusiasm and joy our pupils bring to their learning every single day.
