Special schools provide a unique and distinctive educational environment to meet the needs of the pupils in their community. Undertaking standard tests may not be appropriate and we do not show performance data for special schools.
View exam results via the link below and contact the school to ask about measuring pupil progress.
Most pupils have previously experienced difficulties in their schooling. Many join the school with significant gaps in their knowledge, particularly in literacy and numeracy. Pupils access a curriculum that is planned to help them catch up. Pupils benefit from the opportunities to learn how to be independent adults. They achieve success in their work experience. This includes serving in the Horsebox Café, working in the local business and supporting younger pupils as classroom helpers. Pupils gain accreditations linked to potential career paths. They are well prepared for their next steps in education, employment or training. Pupils are happy and secure at school. They understand and live up to the school’s expectations of behaviour. They forge strong relationships with each other and members of staff. Pupils respond well to adults’ guidance. They adopt a cheerfully optimistic approach to learning. Pupils are inquisitive and delight in learning. They also support each other well when facing challenge. With gusto, pupils celebrate each other’s achievements. Pupils benefit from high-quality pastoral support. They are taught how to make safe choices at school, home, in the community and online. If they become worried, pupils seek help from trusted staff, who provide the support pupils need.

2015 GCSE RESULTSImportant information for parents
Due to number of reforms to GSCE reporting introduced by the government in 2014, such as the exclusion of iGCSE examination results, the official school performance data may not accurately report a school’s full results. For more information, please see About and refer to the section, ‘Why does a school show 0% on its GSCE data dial? In many affected cases, the Average Point Score will also display LOW SCORE as points for iGCSEs and resits are not included.
Schools can upload their full GCSE results by registering for a School Noticeboard. All school results data will be verified.
