This is an exceptional school where pupils flourish. The school has the highest expectations for what pupils can achieve. Pupils in the school, including in the popular sixth form, rise to these expectations at every opportunity. Pupils take great pride in their school, and their behaviour is impeccable. They work hard in lessons and thrive when challenged. Pupils achieve very well in public examinations. They are also supported to develop more widely. They feel happy and safe. The ethos of the school ensures that pupils are taught to be responsible and caring citizens and to ‘become the person that God created us to be.’ The ‘college parliament’ represents all year groups. Pupils say they are listened to. For example, after pupils were asked for their views about the school’s personal development programme, leaders made appropriate changes. The school’s curriculum is broad and ambitious. Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are well supported to access the same ambitious curriculum as their peers. These pupils also access the exceptional range of clubs, trips and activities that the school organises to enrich the curriculum. For example, nearly all pupils in Year 9 visited Rome last year.

Our older child is currently in Yr 9 and loving the school. I, as a parent, cannot be more happy too. So... we are sending our younger there too, being sure we won't find a better school for her in the area. Both our kids are very musical and we all particularly like the amount of musical education both students and parents (yes!) are getting here: multiple choirs, instrument tuition, trips to concert halls and church choirs, you name it. As a parent, I really enjoy regular meetings and concerts of the parents' choir (it's soo relaxing and fun). PE has an amazing amount of extra-curriculum clubs and activities on offer too. The teachers try their hardest and reward good behaviour and effort. However, they are strict if something is not all right. They are very approachable and I can clearly see they try really hard to make it the best learning experience for the kids.

Excellent! Rewards good behaviour as well as good grades. Continual encouragement to strive to be the best person you can be. Quite strict but kind, children believe teachers want the absolute best for them. A quiet child does not go unnoticed – good attitude/behaviour is always noticed and rewarded. It's a very refreshing change from primary school. 25 children per class is an ideal number.

2015 GCSE RESULTSImportant information for parents
Due to number of reforms to GSCE reporting introduced by the government in 2014, such as the exclusion of iGCSE examination results, the official school performance data may not accurately report a school’s full results. For more information, please see About and refer to the section, ‘Why does a school show 0% on its GSCE data dial? In many affected cases, the Average Point Score will also display LOW SCORE as points for iGCSEs and resits are not included.
Schools can upload their full GCSE results by registering for a School Noticeboard. All school results data will be verified.
