St Paul’s is celebrating fantastic news from the recently published provisional DfE school league tables. The school achieved a score of +0.17 (+0.29 adjusted to include all pupils), giving it the second highest Progress 8 score out of all schools across Milton Keynes. The score of +0.17 places us within the top 20% of all schools nationally. St Paul’s also has the best attendance figures in Milton Keynes with pupil absences at just 3.9%.
Progress 8 is a measure of progress from Key Stage 2 SATs results and GCSE outcomes and is based on the grades for English and Mathematics, three subjects from Science, Computer Science, History, Geography and Modern Languages and three other subjects. The measures will encourage all students to study a broad and balanced curriculum and aim to ensure that the achievement of all pupils, regardless of their ability, is properly recognised. The Progress 8 score achieved by St Paul’s is categorised by the DfE as being ‘above average’.
