The school meets requirements on the publication of specified information on its website. The school complies with Department for Education guidance on what academies should publish. In 2012, the school federated with Torfield Primary Special School. In 2014, both schools became part of the Torfield and Saxon Mount Academy Trust. The headteacher of Saxon Mount became the executive headteacher of both schools. He is also the chief executive officer of the multi-academy trust. The proportion of pupils who speak English as an additional language is below the national average. Almost three quarters of the pupils are male. A large number of pupils enter and leave the school at times other than the beginning of the school year. The head of school was appointed to the school in September 2017. The school is accountable to a governing body composed of trustees, and an academy advisory board that supports their work. The school has established a partnership with the University of Brighton to provide for specialist postgraduate teacher training.
2015 GCSE RESULTSImportant information for parents
Due to number of reforms to GSCE reporting introduced by the government in 2014, such as the exclusion of iGCSE examination results, the official school performance data may not accurately report a school’s full results. For more information, please see About and refer to the section, ‘Why does a school show 0% on its GSCE data dial? In many affected cases, the Average Point Score will also display LOW SCORE as points for iGCSEs and resits are not included.
Schools can upload their full GCSE results by registering for a School Noticeboard. All school results data will be verified.
