Rastrick Independent School Reviews
BY PARENTS, FOR PARENTS
“Excellent Nursery & Pre School”
21 June 2019AUTHOR: A Parent
My son joined the nursery in April last year (2018) at 1 and a half, he is now in pre school/pre prep.
Prior to joining Rastrick he was at a much larger nursery staffed mainly by young girls, I don’t believe the environment was good for him.
I highly recommend the nursery - the staff are all fully trained and professional, my son’s development and manners have progressed to a standard that far exceeds expectations for his age.
“Rastrick Independent School Nursery”

My son has developed brilliantly since starting at the school's nursery. I am always kept up-to-date with things concerning my son and am very happy with the nursery.
“A real parents review”

The nursery, pre prep and prep school are absolutely fantastic. The pupils have a well rounded education and are all taught to be polite and well behaved. The teachers including the head really care about the children and it shows. However, I do think the facilities for 11 plus are limited due to the size of the school.
“Don't fall into this trap”
15 October 2016AUTHOR: A Parent
I highly regret sending my child to this school. In my opinion, they don't cater well for high school students. The students have a lack of facilities which is unacceptable for school that is charging fees. Students are given food that is supposedly not out of a packet and people with special dietary requirements are not catered for. The head teacher is running the school as a business.
“Not what it seems”

The Inspection Summary on the school website is not a true reflection of the findings in the actual report, which is quite damning in some respects. Some areas are unsatisfactory, including welfare, health and safety of pupils.
“A fantastic, friendly and wonderful school”

I think this school is fantastic. The headmistress is wonderful. She genuinely cares for all the students and strives to ensure they get the best education possible . Discipline is superb and very fair. I couldn't wish for my son to go to a better school. It was the best thing I ever did sending my son here.
“An honest and fair review of the school”

In my experience the school should not teach beyond the age of 7. The school is unorganised, out-dated and do not have the facilities to cater for older children.
Due to number of reforms to GSCE reporting introduced by the government in 2014, such as the exclusion of iGCSE examination results, the official school performance data may not accurately report a school’s full results. For more information, please see About and refer to the section, ‘Why does a school show 0% on its GSCE data dial? In many affected cases, the Average Point Score will also display LOW SCORE as points for iGCSEs and resits are not included.
Schools can upload their full GCSE results by registering for a School Noticeboard. All school results data will be verified.
