The school is a thriving community where pupils achieve well. Pupils have exceptionally positive attitudes to their learning. They are studious and responsible. The school is ambitious for pupils’ futures. Pupils learn about the range of careers available to them. They are taught the importance of challenging stereotypes in the workplace. The school’s curriculum has undergone significant change in the last two years. The primary curriculum is now ambitious and well-sequenced. Teachers have identified the knowledge and skills they want pupils to learn from Reception and Year 1 right up to Year 11. Pupils are now taught coherent subject curriculums. They build their learning securely over time. Pupils are encouraged to be role models to those younger than them. They take the lead in community events and help new pupils when they join the school. For example, pupils in the primary phase visit a local park to learn about conservation and to do litter picking. Secondary-age pupils are taught about their role in biodiversity and conservation through visiting a botanic garden. Pupils are well-prepared for life in modern Britain. They receive age-appropriate information about themes including the importance of healthy relationships, looking after mental health, dealing with sexual harassment and the significance of consent. Pupils have opportunities to debate current affairs regularly and learn about religions and cultural traditions other than their own.

2015 GCSE RESULTSImportant information for parents
Due to number of reforms to GSCE reporting introduced by the government in 2014, such as the exclusion of iGCSE examination results, the official school performance data may not accurately report a school’s full results. For more information, please see About and refer to the section, ‘Why does a school show 0% on its GSCE data dial? In many affected cases, the Average Point Score will also display LOW SCORE as points for iGCSEs and resits are not included.
Schools can upload their full GCSE results by registering for a School Noticeboard. All school results data will be verified.
