Leaders are determined that pupils at this school will succeed. They have high ambitions for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). They are proud of pupils’ achievements and the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that pervades the school. Pupils are happy and safe here. Pupils listen carefully to both staff and each other. The behaviour policy is designed to help pupils regulate their behaviour and does so successfully as their names move up and down the ‘behaviour ladder’. The school has adopted characters, such as ‘Captain Care’ and ‘Major Respect’, to represent values that support positive behaviour and remind pupils of the school’s expectations. Pupils know that adults have high expectations of them and respond well to these. The school provides opportunities for pupils to take on various responsibilities, such as ‘Osidge Ambassadors’, who celebrate the achievements of others who are seen demonstrating the school values. A range of educational visits, including residentials, are offered to the pupils, such as visits to the Science Museum and the Tower of London. Pupils are encouraged to fundraise for charities and get involved in school events, such as the Christmas and summer fairs. Year 6 pupils were excited to tell inspectors how they were given a small budget to organise a stall at the Christmas fair, where some of them sold hot chocolate.

“Impressive improvement”

I am a parent at Osidge and the school has improved at an impressive rate since the new Headmistress started in 2016. It's early years provision is outstanding, and the recent SATS results show that the school is definitely on the right track. The staff at all levels are dedicated and well qualified. My child is happy, well cared for and looks forward to going to school each day.

The school has worked incredibly hard under the new leadership team and has achieved remarkable progress, illustrated by the recent fantastic SATs results. The work ethic of the staff is incredible and the whole school community is lovely. I can only commend the school for the actions they have taken in the last year which have benefited the children immeasurably.
“Osidge Primary School REQUIRES IMPROVEMENT”
15 June 2016
">
The high numbers of teachers leaving and joining the school has led to inconsistency in the quality of teaching and learning. This, in turn, is having a detrimental impact on the outcomes of pupils currently on roll. It has also caused concern among parents and carers, a significant proportion of whom are concerned about its impact on their children's education. According to May 2016 Ofsted report it is not good school anymore. It REQUIRES IMPROVEMENT.

For more information, please see About and refer to the section, ‘Why does a school show 0% on its GSCE data dial? In many affected cases, the Average Point Score will also display LOW SCORE as points for iGCSEs and resits are not included.
Schools can upload their full GCSE results by registering for a School Noticeboard. All school results data will be verified.
