The school provides for pupils with autistic spectrum disorders, speech and communication difficulties and a small minority of pupils with severe learning difficulties. All the pupils have statements of special educational needs. A quarter of pupils are girls. There is a group of 10 children in the early years provision who attend full time. An above average proportion of pupils are eligible for additional government funding, the pupil premium. This is given for pupils who are entitled to free school meals or who are looked after by the local authority. In 2014, in Year 6, this group of pupils was too small to be reported on specifically. A large majority of pupils are from minority ethnic heritages, reflecting the make up of the borough. A similar majority speak English as an additional language.
