There are a few pupils from minority ethnic groups and a small proportion of these speak English as an additional language. The proportion of disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs supported at school action is above average. The proportion supported at school action plus or who have statements of special educational needs is below average. The proportion of pupils leaving or joining the school at times other than the normal leaving or joining points is much higher than average. The school meets the government’s current floor standards which set the minimum expectations for pupils’ attainment and progress. The headteacher works for 70% of the week and is supported by an assistant headteacher who acts as headteacher for the remaining 30%.
