50% of North Bridge House Pre-Prep Pupils Perform in Top 5% of the UK
The latest Key Stage 1 progress test results place 46% of North Bridge House Pre-Prep children in the top 5% in the UK for their overall English and Maths performance. The high-achieving, mixed ability school, to which children from the Outstanding NBH Nursery School progress, is celebrating results not only significantly higher than the national average but even higher than those they achieved last year.
Head Teacher Christine McLelland is extremely proud of the value added to children's academic outcomes:
"I am over the moon to see the hard work of both our children and staff pay off: Super strong results again this year with year on year improvement."
To track pupil progress in a stress-free environment, NBH Pre-Prep uses the progress test series provided by the leading provider of formative assessments to schools in the UK, GL Assessment.
This year, 33% of the school’s Year 1 (age 6) pupils performed in the top 5% in the country for English and 32% for Maths. For those at the end of Key Stage 1 in Year 2 (age 7), 42% are performing in the top 5% in the country for English and a significant 50% for Maths.
The curriculum at NBH Pre-Prep is built entirely around Key Stage 1, preparing children for the highly successful NBH Prep School without the added pressure of 7+ entrance exams.
