School Description

North Bridge House Hampstead (becoming Alleyn’s Hampstead in September 2026) is part of a group of five independent co-educational day schools in North London, ranging from Nursery through to Sixth Form for ages 2 to 18. Each school is distinctive, contemporary and high-achieving, and successfully prepares children for the next stage in their school career. Children are nurtured and progressed beyond the national average at NBH Nursery and Pre-Prep Schools, before joining NBH Prep where they are set up for outstanding outcomes. We advise on and facilitate every path to success, with pupils either leaving the Prep School at the end of Year 6 (taking the 11+, the Consortium exam or going to one of the North Bridge House Senior Schools), or at the end of Year 8 (taking the Common Pre-Test, the Common Entrance exam or schools’ individual entrance tests).North Bridge House offers a choice of two Senior School campuses at 11+. NBH Senior Hampstead and NBH Senior Canonbury both focus on growing the individual in small classes and celebrate excellent GCSE results. Students are then welcomed into Sixth Form at NBH Canonbury for outstanding, individually tailored A-Level and university preparation.

MEET THE HEAD

At NBH Hampstead Senior and Sixth Form (becoming Alleyn’s Hampstead in September 2026), we are a school that truly believes in taking every opportunity for learning. Each student embarks on a unique journey to achieve more than they thought possible from their starting points, supported by our extensive pastoral provision and an individually tailored education.

Our size is a key strength; we are large enough to facilitate different sports fixtures and school trips but small enough that each child is really known and can be properly understood by their teacher.

With our rich curriculum designed to foster a genuine love of learning, students are prepared to enter higher education and the working world when they leave us. In addition to the core academic subjects, we provide a broad range of specialist subject options, and every year group benefits from our timetabled weekly enrichment programme.

Many of our students challenge themselves beyond the main curriculum, taking advantage of the LAMDA and instrumental lessons we offer, or individual language lessons in Mandarin, Russian and Italian, to name but a few.

We encourage every child to find their 'True North'  I very much look forward to welcoming you to one of our open events, where you can find out more about your child joining our diverse and high-achieving community.
