School Description

Nethergate School, as a stand-alone special academy, joined Greenwood Academy Trust in May 2017. The school is sponsored by the trust. The school provides for pupils with moderate and severe learning difficulties. A growing number of pupils also experience other complex needs, such as social, emotional and mental health needs, autism and speech and language difficulties. All pupils have an education, health and care plan or a statement of special educational needs. The proportion of disadvantaged pupils is well above average.
