Mynydd Cynfig Infants School is in a village close to the town of Pyle in the local authority of Bridgend. There are 191 pupils on roll, including 51 full-time and 11 parttime pupils in the nursery. Nearly a third of the pupils are eligible for free school meals. This is above average for Wales and the local authority. The school has identified 11% of its pupils as having additional learning needs. This includes a very few who have English as an additional language. Nearly all pupils are white British.
