Moorlands School Parent Reviews

Average Parent Rating

“A lovely school”

Really love Moorlands School. It is a happy, purposeful and successful school. It also takes a 'whole child' approach- so no hot-housing, no reams of homework for 3 year olds or whatever. Children there are interested, motivated and encouraged to have a go at everything, but most of all to be children. The school may be small but it has everything a young child needs: sports fields, woods for the weekly bushcraft lessons (cooking sausages on an open fire is my kids favourite), swimming pool for the weekly swimming lessons for 3 year olds and up. The music department is very strong with a range of ensembles and orchestras and the drama department produces a number of excellent productions every year. The academic results are excellent. As for the extra-curricular- where to start? There must be 50 clubs to choose from, changing each term, and these range from the sporty to the creative to the geeky. This term my 2 are doing computer club, rounders, French, Quiz club, ultimate Frisbee, Choir, Brass ensemble and Samba club between them! Phew! My sons have thrived at Moorlands, I could not have picked a better school for them.
