School Description

This school is of average size. It has provision for the Early Years Foundation Stage in a Nursery and two Reception classes. The proportion of pupils for whom the school receives the pupil premium, which is additional funding for looked after children, pupils known to be eligible for free school meals or children of service families, is well below average. The proportion of pupils joining or leaving the school, other than at the normal times, is broadly average. The school meets the government’s current floor standard, which sets the minimum expectation for pupils’ attainment and progress in English and mathematics. The governing body manages the daily breakfast and after-school clubs. At the last inspection significant improvement was required in leadership and management, teaching and pupils’ progress in writing in particular.
