Pupils are proud of being part of Hermitage Primary. Pupils, including children in the early years, are happy, well cared for and they feel safe. Working relationships between pupils and adults are highly positive. Pupils know that staff are there to help them if they have any worries or concerns. Staff expect pupils to work hard to ensure they succeed. Pupils are keen to talk about what they have learned. Pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), achieve well in most subjects. Pupils understand and follow the school rules. They behave well and are polite, wellmannered, and thoughtful towards each other and staff. Pupils and staff strive to follow the school’s values, ‘excellence surrounded by care’. Pupils are keen to take part in a number of clubs on offer, including sports team clubs. Some activities are adapted to meet the interests of pupils with SEND. The school provides pupils with many opportunities to take positions of responsibility. For example, older pupils support the younger children to read and act as well-being champions.

I have concerns that some children in the nursery seem to have priority. For example, my child goes in on her own - as per her teacher's advice - only to wait for other parents to finish helping their kids with their jacket etc. The teacher seems unaware that my child may need assistance.

2015 GCSE RESULTSImportant information for parents
Due to number of reforms to GSCE reporting introduced by the government in 2014, such as the exclusion of iGCSE examination results, the official school performance data may not accurately report a school’s full results. For more information, please see About and refer to the section, ‘Why does a school show 0% on its GSCE data dial? In many affected cases, the Average Point Score will also display LOW SCORE as points for iGCSEs and resits are not included.
Schools can upload their full GCSE results by registering for a School Noticeboard. All school results data will be verified.
