This School Guide heat map has been plotted using official pupil data taken from the last School Census collected by the Department for Education. It is a visualisation of where pupils lived at the time of the last School Census (released annually in July).

Our heat maps use groups of postcodes, not individual postcodes, and have naturally soft edges. All pupils are included in the mapping (i.e. children with siblings already at the school, high priority pupils and selective and/or religious admissions) but we may have removed statistical ‘outliers’ with more remote postcodes that do not reflect majority admissions.

For some schools, the heat map may be a useful indicator of the catchment area but our heat maps are not the same as catchment area maps. Catchment area maps, published by the school or local authority, are based on geographical admissions criteria and show actual cut-off distances and pre-defined catchment areas for a single admission year.

This information is provided as a guide only. The areas from which pupils are admitted to a school can change from year to year to reflect the number of siblings and pupils admitted under high priority admissions criteria.

3 steps to help parents gather catchment information for a school:

  1. Look at our heat maps. They give a useful indicator of the general areas that admit pupils to the school. This visualisation is based on all attending pupils present at the time of the last School Census.
  2. Use the link to the Local Authority Contact (above) to find catchment area information based on a single admission year. This is very important if you are considering applying to a school.
  3. On each school page, use the link to visit the school website and find information on individual school admissions criteria. Geographical criteria are only applied after pupils have been admitted on higher priority criteria such as Looked After Children, SEN, siblings, etc.

See Pupil heat maps FAQs for more information about the source of pupil heat map data.

Heavers Farm Primary School Reviews

Average Rating:

BY PARENTS, FOR PARENTS

“Disappointed”
AUTHOR:
"> I'm very disappointed in the school. The teachers and other staff are mostly great, but I'm very unhappy with the management. Communication is poor, relationships between management and parents are poor. There used to be an active PTA but they seem to have all resigned due to issues with the school. The merger with Selsden school seems to have been the start of the problem (I'm not blaming Selsen here, I've never been to the school). Unlike the other reviewer, I was surprised it didn't get a worse Ofsted rating. Lots of children in one of my child's classes are really unhappy about coming to school and it isn't being addressed. I'm very sorry to give a bad review but it's how lots of parents feel right now.
“Amazing Heavers Farm Primary School”
AUTHOR:
"> Heavers Farm is a fantastic school. Despite not being rated outstanding by Ofsted. The warmth that you feel as soon as you walk through the doors from staff radiates to the children. The children there are happy, engaged in what they are learning and the teachers make learning fun. My children (currently in year 2 and year 4) have both flourished since arriving at Heavers. I moved them both from another school which is rated outstanding but my children did not enjoy going to school. Now my children love going to school, love their teachers and even love the school dinners. I cannot thank all of the staff at Heavers Farm enough. I look forward each day from the moment they wake in the morning getting ready for school to the evening when picking them up, to hear what they have learnt and seeing and hearing the enthusiasm they exude. I could not reccomend this school highly enough.
