At The Hampshire School, we are committed to delivering an education with everything your child needs to become an exceptional adult.
Independent preparatory schools do not have to follow the National Curriculum or submit test results to the Department for Education so there is no individual school performance data or star rating.
Visit the school's website to learn more about their unique curriculum, policies on testing and common leaver destinations (a good indicator of pupil progress). See our About page for information on Choosing A Prep School.

At The Hampshire School, we are committed to delivering an education with everything your child needs to become an exceptional adult.
The Hampshire School was proud to be shortlisted as finalists in two categories out of over 550 entries from across the country in the Independent Schools Association (ISA) awards. The Hampshire School Chelsea was the only London school to be a finalist for both the ISA Award for Junior School of the Year and ISA Award for Innovation in Pupil Voice. We were also the only school from the Bellevue Education group to hold the title ‘finalists’. These awards offer an incredible opportunity to celebrate the success of staff, parents and pupils within our community.
This year, we were shortlisted in three categories:
1. ISA Junior School of the Year Award
2. ISA Award for Excellence in Pupil Personal Development
3. ISA Award for Innovation in Pupil voice
These awards annually celebrate the successes of independent schools, recognising the quality of provision in independent education across the UK.
At The Hampshire School Chelsea, we promise that all learners will be valued, respected and supported in providing a high quality education in a stimulating environment.
Our Five Core Values are:
1. Resilience
2. Respect
3. Community
4. Excellence
5. Responsibility
'Aim high' is the motto of our school and it is one which all members of the school community strive towards.
We provide the foundations for each child’s love of learning to flourish within a nurturing and caring ethos. We are a reflective learning community and value the quality of our relationships with our parents and whole school community.
Mr Richard Lock, Headmaster
This school is independently managed and its admission criteria may be selective. There is no set catchment area as pupils are admitted from a wide variety of postcodes and, in the case of boarding schools, from outside the UK. Contact the school directly or visit their website for more information on Admissions Policy and Procedures.
