“Lovely school”

We joined Collingwood last year in kindergarten when my daughter turned 3. The school has a really friendly atmosphere and small class sizes with a real open door policy nothing is too much trouble. My daughter has learnt so much since starting and has made some great friends, the older years really look out for the younger ones which is lovely. We are really pleased with our choice of school.
“A hidden gem”

A great little school. My son runs to school every morning and is very happy there. He even asks to go to school during the holidays and weekends. It has a great family feel and all the children know each other. The older children always look out for the younger ones and the teachers and teaching assistants are all very approachable. I can see that my son has not only grown in confidence on a personal level he is also doing well academically. Putting him in Collingwood was definitely the the right decision.
“Like a lovely little village school”

The school couldn't be lovelier. Any blip previously referred to lasted a mere few months in 2016 before the Governors rectified things. The school is currently thriving. We couldn't be happier with how our children are progressing - both academically and personally. It is like a small village school with a very open door policy for parents but in London. We love it.
“Hoping for improvements”

Once was excellent. Unfortunately there has been a number of parents leave recently due to various issues including concerns over academic performance and no senior school scholarships. We started in nursery age 3 – the school was excellent then. We now feel stuck and frustrated. We want to explore moving our child to another independent school locally with better results they are all selective and they are not at an academic standard to pass the tests. We have been supplementing with tutoring to try and get up to standard. There have been many headteachers - 5 in seven years and, in my opinion, the school has suffered for it. There is a new one starting in April 2017, lets hope there is significant improvement but we are concerned that these things take years to turn around and our child may not benefit in time for entry into grammar school or a scholarship to independent secondary schools because of our choice.
