Prospective parents and pupils generally make a number of visits to Canford before they decide to join the school. Canford holds two Open Days each year, in the Spring and Autumn, and these are an ideal opportunity for either a first visit or for those looking to make a House choice once registered. They are also an informal opportunity to meet the Headmaster and members of staff, and to tour the school and Houses with a pupil.
Our next Open Days will be held on SATURDAY 22nd APRIL AND SATURDAY 7TH OCTOBER 2017 from 9.30am to 1:00pm which will include a presentation on life in the Sixth Form at 12 noon and short presentations on 13+ entry procedures at 10:30am and 11:15am in the Layard Theatre.
The Headmaster will introduce these presentations with a short address. Tours of the Boarding and Day houses will be between 9:30am and 12:30pm. Refreshments are available throughout the morning, with lunch from 12 noon.
Parents do not need to book in advance for our Open Days, but it would be helpful to us if you were able to complete the booking form at www.canford.com/Open-Days and may also save you time on the day. Please arrive at a time to suit you - any time from 9:30am onwards - and follow the signs to Reception, but do allow at least 2 hours to look around the school.
