School Description

Underpinned by the International Baccalaureate philosophy Bedford Girls' School focuses on providing a truly holistic education for girls. Central to their ethos is delivering an education which is not solely determined by academic success but by developing wider learner attributes. The school teaches students to think for themselves, to question and inquire. It develops growth mindsets, where students are willing to work independently, move out of their comfort zones, reflect on their decisions and learn from their mistakes. 2017 GCSE results

Bedford Girls’ School celebrated record GCSE results, with over a third of the year group awarded ten A/A*s and eight girls earning ten straight A*s. 

Percentage of A*-A/7-9 grades:  72% A*/A; 44% A*

Percentage of pupils who got 4-9 in both maths and English: 

Mathematics: 100%

English: 100%

Bedford Girls' School announced its best ever Upper Sixth examination results with over 50% of all entries (A Level and International Baccalaureate Diploma combined) achieving A/A* grade.
