School Description

Founded in 1856, Bangor Grammar School is a selective grammar school which admits pupils on the basis of the 'Transfer Tests' applied in November of the year preceding entry. It is part of the state system with 85% of its capital developments funded by government, but retains a measure of independence through its own Board of Governors, a small capital fee and parental voluntary contributions.
