The school is smaller than the average-sized primary school. Most pupils are White British. The proportion of disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs is below average. The proportion of disadvantaged pupils supported by the pupil premium is average. The pupil premium is additional government funding to support pupils eligible for free school meals and those in the care of the local authority. The school meets the government’s current floor standards, which set the minimum expectations for pupils’ attainment and progress at the end of Year 6 in English and mathematics. There is a Reception class for children aged four and five who attend full time and a Nursery where children attend part time. The school works in partnership with Aston Hall Primary School, sharing the time of the executive headteacher between the two schools. This arrangement was put in place in September 2014 and will be reviewed at the end of this academic year.
