School Description

Staff are aspirational for their pupils. They care about each pupil as an individual. Many pupils have experienced difficulties in previous educational settings. Leaders and staff ensure that pupils have positive experiences that enable them to engage well with their learning. They make sure that pupils’ personal development is at the heart of the school’s work. Pupils, parents and carers appreciate what the school provides. All staff have high expectations for what pupils can achieve. They provide the right support so that pupils can achieve well. Staff help pupils to manage their own behaviour. When pupils’ behaviour does not meet expectations, staff help them to reflect on the impact of their actions. Pupils say that staff deal with bullying effectively on the rare occasions that it happens. Relationships between staff and pupils are extremely positive. Pupils say they feel safe and supported. The curriculum provides well for pupils’ interests and needs. Pupils benefit from a wide range of enrichment activities, including Black History month, science week and art trips in the local community. Pupils enjoy school. They attend regularly.
