My name is Jodie and I thoroughly enjoy my role as a tutor. I find it extremely rewarding working with both children and young adults to help them with subjects and topics they are struggling with.
I graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics with Computing BSc and achieved Grade A* in both Maths and German GCSE. Additional qualifications in Advanced Chemical Engineering MSc and currently studying Nutritional Sciences MSc at the University of Nottingham. I have experience working with both children and young adults both in the UK and Canada and have previously taken part in the Student Associate Scheme with Thomas Telford School.
I am very flexible and adaptable based on each student's learning styles and I have a friendly, understanding and patient nature, which helps me to work with students of all ages and abilities. I am passionate about helping students improve their confidence, particularly in Maths, and also try to support students with other areas of their academic curriculum, where possible.
Parents looking for good tuition should look for a tutor who is able to get children to share ideas, work independently and compete. They should have high expectations of the children they teach, reward success and help children to understand difficult concepts with a range of examples.
Tutors should use a range of materials so that children can listen, see and do.
Students of all ages attend our study centre at Ketley Community Centre in Telford and we cater for learners from Early Years and primary. Every student is guaranteed a warm welcome from the centre manager and will experience a safe, nurturing learning environment in which children can thrive and learn to succeed.
Our programmes are designed by education professionals to help children with their school studies, build confidence and develop independent learning skills.
