The school is smaller than the average primary school. The number of pupils has increased since the last inspection. The recent increase in numbers is due to more pupils than typical nationally, nearly 36%, joining the school at other than the usual times. The number of girls is lower than the number of boys in Key Stage 2. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for free school meals, and the proportion of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, is average, although the proportion who have a statement of special educational needs is low. The vast majority of pupils are White British. Just less than half of the pupils live beyond the immediate locality. The beforeand after-school club is managed by the governing body. The school has Healthy Schools status, Dyslexia status level 1, Sportsmark, Activemark and the International School award.
