The school is of a similar size to most secondary schools. Most pupils attending the school are White British, with a much lower than average proportion of pupils from minority ethnic groups. In 2016, the school did meet the government’s current floor standards, which are the minimum expectations for students’ attainment and progress as they leave the school. The proportion of pupils for whom the school receives the pupil premium is well above average. The school does not make use of alternative provision for pupils away from the school’s site. There have been significant changes in staff since the previous inspection.
