School Description

The Bridge College is part of the Keys Childcare Group. Three of its six current students live in residential homes belonging to the group, the other three are placed by their local authority. The school is registered to admit up to 12 male and female students between the ages of 10 and 18 years. It is a day special school catering for students with behavioural, emotional and social disabilities, and associated learning difficulties. All except one have a statement of special educational needs. Since opening, all students have been of White British origin and none have spoken English as an additional language. The school was first registered with the Department for Education in January 2014 and this is its first inspection. This year there is no alternative provision. Although, last year, the one post-16 student at that time attended a course at Bridgewater College of Further Education. This was part of a package that saw him move on to become a full-time student.
