School Description

This is a primary school that is much smaller than average. Most pupils are of White British heritage. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for the pupil premium (which provides additional funding to support children in local authority care, children from service families and pupils known to be eligible for free school meals) is average. The proportion of disabled pupils or those who have special educational needs supported through school action is well above average. The proportion supported at school action plus or with a statement of special educational needs is above average. The proportion of pupils joining or leaving the school at other than the normal times is slightly below average. The school meets the government’s current floor standards which set the minimum expectations for pupils’ progress and attainment in English and mathematics. The school, with two other schools, became part of the Woodleigh Federation in January 2012. There is an executive headteacher and a joint governing body for the three schools and a head of school for Tedburn St Mary. The school has four classes, of which three have more than one age group.
