Talgarth Primary School is situated adjacent to the previous school building and the church in the centre of the small town of Talgarth, which is about eight miles north-east of Brecon. It was built in 1976 and is set within spacious and attractive grounds, comprising a playground, an early years play area, a playing field and grassed open spaces. The accommodation is generally of open plan design and has three main teaching areas with a number of additional learning spaces. There is a hall as well as an information communications technology (ICT) suite, a library, offices, cloakrooms, a kitchen, a foyer and a staff room. There is also a large hut within the school grounds which is used by a parent toddler group, the local health board and educational psychologists.
