St Francis Catholic Primary School is a below-average-sized primary school. There are seven classes, one for each year ranging from Reception to Year 6. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for the pupil premium, which is additional funding provided for looked after children, pupils eligible for free school meals and children of service families, is below average. The school exceeds the government’s current floor standards, which set the minimum expectations for pupils’ attainment and progress. The proportion of disabled pupils and those with special educational needs that have a statement of special educational needs or are on school action plus is broadly average, but a higher proportion than average is supported on school action. The breakfast and after-school clubs are managed by the school. The school does not make use of any alternative provision for its pupils.
