School Description

This is a smaller than average-sized primary school. The majority of pupils are of White British heritage. Children in the early years attend part time in Foundation 1 and full time in Foundation 2. The proportion of pupils who have special educational needs or disability is below the national average. The proportion of pupils deemed disadvantaged and who are supported through the pupil premium is below average. In some year groups there are none. (The pupil premium is additional government funding provided to support those who are known to be eligible for free school meals and those who are looked after by the local authority.) The proportion of pupils moving in and out of the school at other than the start of early years is above average. In 2015, the school failed to meet the government’s current floor standards, which are the minimum expectations for pupils’ attainment and progress in English and mathematics by the end of Year 6. The school has experienced a high number of staffing issues since the previous inspection. Two teachers joined the school in September 2015.
