Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is smaller than other schools of the same type. The proportion of pupils supported through school action is above average and those pupils supported through school action plus or with a statement of special educational needs are in-line with what is expected nationally. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for the pupil premium (additional government funding) is higher than average. The proportion of pupils from minority ethnic backgrounds and of those learning English as an additional language are below average. The school exceeds the current floor standard, which sets the minimum expectations for pupils’ attainment and progress. Since the last inspection an assistant headteacher has been appointed.
