Ridgewell Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School is much smaller than the average primary school. Year on year, cohorts of pupils vary. There is a combined preschool class and Reception class, and mixed Year 1/2, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 classes. The majority of pupils are of White British heritage. The proportion of pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities is just above the national average. The proportion of disadvantaged pupils (those who are supported by the pupil premium funding) is below average. In September 2016 there was a change to leadership.
