This school is larger than the average-sized primary school. Almost all pupils are of White British heritage. The school meets the government’s current floor standard, which sets the minimum expectations for pupils’ attainment and progress in English and mathematics. The school runs both a breakfast and after-school club. The majority of classroom teachers have been appointed since the last inspection and all were newly qualified on appointment. The headteacher has had periods of absence since September 2012. During these absences, the assistant headteacher moved out of Year 6 to become the acting headteacher. An advisory headteacher has been working alongside the leadership team over the last half term.
