This is a smaller-than-average school. It serves the local community. There are three mixed-age classes. The Reception children are taught with Year 1. The proportion of disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs supported through school action is above average. The proportion supported at school action plus or with a statement of special educational needs is below average. The proportion of pupils eligible for support through the pupil premium is above average. This extra funding is for looked-after children and those known to be eligible for free school meals. There is an independent pre-school provision located in the school grounds. This provision is inspected separately and has its own inspection report. The number of pupils is rising mainly as a result of having the pre-school on the site.
