Llangennech Junior School is situated in the village of Llangennech, on the outskirts of the town of Llanelli in Carmarthenshire. The school serves the village and the surrounding area. There are 197 pupils between 7 and 11 years old on the register. The area is described as one that is neither prosperous nor economically disadvantaged. The percentage of pupils entitled to free school meals is 11.96%, which is lower than the national figure. The school has pupils from the whole range of ability.
