“Excellent education with a family feel”

unlock
"> We have three children at Hope House School at various stages in their education. We very much value the care and support provided by the school as it has helped nurture and develop our children’s characters, as well as their knowledge. Staff members are friendly, helpful and willing to talk about any aspect of school life. When issues have been raised we have been listened to by the school and the matters dealt with accordingly. The educational environment of the school, particularly the small class sizes and individual attention given by staff, has really helped our children to flourish and develop. We very much value the Christian foundations and ethos of the school which are reflected in all that goes on in and out of the classroom. Knowing that our children are in a safe environment and being well cared for is deeply reassuring and provides a family feel to the school. We very much like the way in which the school seeks to involve children in activities such as drama and participation in school plays that have helped our children to develop their confidence and communication skills. We very much appreciate the staff who are professional in their approach to providing education and take appropriate action to ensure that the behaviour of children is consistent with the Christian values underpinning the school. The parents are encouraged to join in with school activities and the education of our children is seen as a partnership which is something we feel more schools should encourage and foster. Overall we would highly recommend the school to parents.
“Good results”

"> I am a parent with two children in this school (graded Good with Outstanding Features in the most recent inspection.) One child was in the class to which Mr Lavery is referring. In the English Department, this small class (with apparently 'poor' teaching) gained six grade A's, and two of those were A*. Among Mr Lavery's own child's set of GCSE results, English was the best grade.
“Lovely, well rounded school.”

"> Both of my daughters attend this school, and as a teaching assistant myself I am very happy so far with their journey at Hope House. The class sizes are very small, so my very bright and well-behaved children do not get lost or forgotten in the crowd and they receive the praise and recognition they deserve. I also really appreciate how the school pushes my children to achieve their best whilst remembering that they are still children and allowing them to develop as individuals as well. I will, and have recommended this school to many of my friends.
“Great school with small class sizes”

unlock
"> We transferred our daughter to the school for the last year of primary and she is now in year 8. She had some difficulty with handwriting and in her first year the teaching staff spent lots of time helping her with this. Because of the small class size there is the time to focus on each individual child's needs and development There is a strong focus on the core subjects like maths and English, but also other subjects are well taught. Subjects like art and drama are also encouraged which leads to well-rounded, confident young people. Our daughter came to the school feeling a failure due to writing problems. Hope House not only are helping with this ongoing problem, but have helped develop my daughter's confidence and self-esteem. This change has been reflected in great academic results. The staff care about their pupils and work hard to create a positive environment for children to learn and grow. They are enthusiastic about their subjects, but also the whole school ethos. I have no doubt that my daughter's progress and potential has been greatly enhanced being here, and would have no reservation in recommending this school.
“Nurturing and developing - excellent education with clear values”

unlock
"> We have children in the senior and junior schools, both are thriving and, very importantly, enjoy their learning. The attention they receive is second to none and we have nothing but praise for the quality of the teaching. Expectations of pupils by the school, in terms of behaviour and conduct, are clear and consistent; however it is a nuturing environment that has time and teachers that can deal with individual needs. Our children have good relationships with their teachers and with their friends, and we as parents feel very connected to the school.
“High Praise”

unlock
"> Both my sons attend this school and I cannot sing its praises highly enough. My sons are both very happy and are doing well academically, in fact far better than when they were in Barugh Green school which is rated outstanding by Ofsted. It is an investment in their futures and I feel they would not be doing so well socially or academically had I not decided to send them to Hope House. I would highly recommend this school to any parent who values their child's education, happiness and future.
“Well worth it”

"> Both my children go to Hope House and they are very happy here. The teachers at Hope House have got time for our children and for parents too..all staff is very friendly...
“Excellent school with an excellent ethos”

unlock
"> My daughter attends Hope House School and to date we are exceptionally happy with the school, my daughter’s academic progress and the way that the school is managed. In my opinion, the school provides excellent value for money and provides an education that extends above and beyond what is required in the national curriculum. Hope House provides a friendly, caring atmosphere and equips pupils with valuable personal, and transferable academic skills. The support (academic and pastoral) provided by the school is excellent. I would have absolutely no doubts in recommending this school to others.
“Daughter loves Hope House”

unlock
"> Hope House has changed my daughter's life around. The class sizes are fantastic and her work is improving all the time, I only wish we had chosen hope house from primary. She loves it here.
“Don't waste good money here”

unlock
"> Our child went here because of the small class sizes, only to discover there is no benefit because teacher quality is reduced accordingly. We feel that there is little emphasis on the 3Rs and far too much on drama and other events that often see pupils being withdrawn from academic classes to attend. Very expensive for what is on offer .
