Haverfordwest Voluntary Controlled Junior School is close to the centre of Haverfordwest in the Pembrokeshire local authority. There are 83 pupils on roll between the ages of 7 and 11, taught in three classes. Most pupils transfer to the school from Mount Airey Infant School in the September following their seventh birthday. Nearly all pupils are of white British ethnicity. No pupil speaks English as an additional language and no pupil speaks Welsh at home. The three-year average of pupils eligible for free school meals is 18%. This is just below the national figure of 20%. The school identifies about 27% of pupils as having additional learning needs.
