This is a smaller-than-average sized primary school. The vast majority of pupils are of White British heritage. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for the pupil premium (the extra government funding for children looked after by the local authority, known to be eligible for free school meals or whose families are in the armed forces) is below average. The proportion of pupils supported through school action is below average. The proportion of pupils supported at school action plus or who have a statement of special educational needs is also below average. The school meets the government’s current floor standards, which set the minimum expectations for pupils’ attainment and progress in English and mathematics. Pupils are taught in four classes, three of which are mixed-aged. Reception children are taught as a class. Years 1 and 2 are taught together, as are Years 3 and 4 and Years 5 and 6. The school operates an ‘early bird’ club which meets daily before school, but does not provide breakfast.
