Brynhyfryd Junior School is situated in a well established area two miles from Swansea city centre in the County of Swansea. The school mainly serves this area of the city, which is an area of social and economic disadvantage. Twenty-five per cent of pupils are entitled to free school meals, which is higher than the local authority and all-Wales averages.
